Friends,

You no doubt have noticed that we have had another makeover. Looking good, right? Thanks to the close collaboration and attention from our new friends at Haunted Themes, Republic Standard is better looking, faster loading and more deeply indexed than ever. But enough about how good we look lately, you know all about that. You're not just into us for our looks, a-are you?

As you have no doubt seen, our writing pool is growing rapidly- so much so that very soon we anticipate going to two articles per day. That might not sound like very much in the grand scheme of things, but it is quite a milestone for a site that is just over a hundred days old and began with just two people. Today, we are long-form articles on topics as diverse as education, geopolitics, literature, race relations, freedom of speech, replacement migration, the constitution and Islam, to name but a few. We have been at the forefront of highlighting the coming genocide in South Africa, and are providing one of the few dissenting platforms against the censorious police state of Britain.

The reason for our rapid growth we attribute entirely to our stance as fundamental supporters of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States. The right to freedom of association and free expression has proven to be a position that is popular with both intelligent contributors and the readers they attract with their work. At Republic Standard, we do not censor, we do not force our opinion. Protecting our platform against the effects of O'Sullivan's First Law begins with great content with a right of reply; not that this offer has been taken up.

The point is that we are producing a high-quality magazine of thought and culture that is not beholden to corporate interests in any way, and that's huge. Looking at the competitors in our field brings forth a list of old-style neoconservative outlets scrambling for relevance and Alt-Right flashes-in-the-pan which obsess about ideological purity. These models are tired, and no more suited to function than the orthodox leftist magazines like VICE and Salon, who are partly owned by Disney or trading at 2 cents a share, respectively. Who can truly say they are honest if they fire staff that does not sufficiently support Donald Trump (Red State) or is stuck in a desperate scramble for clicks? This model is proven to lead to fake news or ideological rigidity. We hold ourselves to a higher standard (pun absolutely intentional) and reject that flawed model, which has no reason for existing beyond permanent growth.

As a truly global collaboration of writers, we are creating a platform that is generating trust based on a commitment to principle; that is, you must be free to contribute. You must be free to read opinions that are different. You must be free to speak the truth. We may sometimes be wrong- but at least we are not lying about it. In fact, being proven wrong is a service to us- it means we learn something. That is a lesson that many outlets seem to have forgotten or deliberately ignored. Ideology has to be informed by the truth, or it is tyranny.

It is our foundation and our privileged duty to uphold this right to free expression for all people, and we thank you for your support by donation through our sister site the Freebird Forum, or purchases from our webshop.

What has been very interesting to note is the lop-sided push-back the site has received. While it certainly appears that our content causes a lot of head-scratching and hopefully some self-reflection on the part of those who disagree with us, the knee-jerk reaction has, predictably, been to resort to name-calling. Multibillion-dollar platforms Medium.com and Twitter went one better and actively pursued censorship tactics against us, claiming that:

We do not allow posts or accounts that glorify, celebrate, downplay, or trivialize violence, suffering, abuse, or deaths of individuals or groups. This includes the use of scientific or pseudoscientific claims to pathologize, dehumanize, or disempower others. We do not allow calls for intolerance, exclusion, or segregation based on protected characteristics, nor do we allow the glorification of groups which do any of the above.

Just for clarification; social media companies reject science when that science runs counter to the progressive agenda. You, dear reader, should note that very well. In any case, we are not going away- we are not dehumanizing anyone. We have never called for violence or celebrated the death of anyone. Unfortunately for Silicon Valley reality is not going away; no matter how hard they try to push their Communism on us all. If it is to be a crime to notice and publish the objective truth, then so be it. Come and get us, if you can.

So what next from Republic Standard? Well, we are only going to grow bigger. We will cover more topics. We will publish more articles that will be denounced as too edgy for mankind to look at. We will not stop writing.

We have just secured a new stream of advertising revenue that will with the support of you, the reader, help secure the future of this site. With that in mind, we ask you please to whitelist this site in your adblocker. The adverts on our site are relatively unobtrusive but will provide us -as a small business- with a source of revenue that we can use to expand our capabilities and (gasp!) pay our writers. Oh yeah; we all work for free right now.

If that sounds like your cup of tea and you want to join this fast growing bunch of stone-cold maverick renegades in our quest to save the world, you can pitch me your ideas right here.

Thank you all for the continued support. It means more than you can ever know.
