The mainstream press report today that the United States has called on Russia to end their support of President Assad, following an alleged gas attack in Douma, Eastern Ghouta. At least 70 people were killed in the strike, with more than 500 civilians injured the Union of Medical Care and Relief Organisations (UOSSM) said, according to Sky News. There are several questions that need asking of this narrative- not least; cui bono?
A Russian military official has firmly denied the Syrian regime used chemical weapons in an attack on an opposition-held area in the city of Douma in eastern Ghouta— Sky News Breaking (@SkyNewsBreak) April 8, 2018
With the war in Syria almost entirely over save for small pockets of jihadists, why would Assad risk breaking the Geneva Convention, alienating geopolitical enemies and allies alike? Some commentators suspect that the Deep State agenda rolls on.

The Syrian analyst Maram Susli -known as Partisan Girl- claims that the gassing follows rebel tactical dogma.
Kidnapping Civilians, using them as human shields, then gassing them is a rebel tactic. Civilians kidnapped in Latakia, may have been gassed in the Khan Shaikyoun Idlib. Today's attack is exactly one year to the day of #Trumps strike on Syria. https://t.co/hD0nE4M9nL— Partisangirl 🇸🇾 (@Partisangirl) April 8, 2018
There is clearly nothing to gain for Assad by deploying chemical weapons on his own people when he is so close to restoring order, if not claiming outright victory. Al-Qaeda and the brutal scum that support them have nothing to lose. Any who still languish under the same delusion as John McCain that the enemies of Assad are somehow more moral than the dictator really should wake up and smell the chlorine.
Remember, the people who are pushing for war are all too willing to attribute the slaughter of innocent children to the wrong party, in order to pursue their globalist agenda- if we have learned just one thing from the last fifteen years of war, it should be that we should wait for evidence before leaping into battle. The dossier that told us Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction was a lie; and today, the same tactic is pushed into our instant-gratification news media, I suspect to advance the same ends.
BREAKING - Terrible reports of a chemical attack on besieged #Douma in #EastGhouta - *much* more potent than normal chlorine gas attacks.— Charles Lister (@Charles_Lister) April 7, 2018
= More than 700 affected & 35+ confirmed dead so far. Horrific images, speak for themselves - children foaming at the mouth & nose. pic.twitter.com/wIPzOxgtKE
I may be wrong- but then, I'm not the one with my finger on the missile launch button. Will we lose anything by confirming these reports that are spread so widely through the media as if they are fact? If Assad is guilty of this crime, let it be shown; before the West rushes off to add even more bodies to the piles of pointless dead.
